I have been a member of the food and beverage association for over a year and I truly believe it is one of the best decisions I have made for the health of my business. Before I joined the F&BA I was the managing owner of a restaurant/bar in La Jolla with very little experience and almost no knowledge of the pitfalls associated with running a restaurant/bar. I had no idea of magnitude of all the ADA compliance issues, I'd heard about them and hoped I never had to deal with them. I didn't know about all the new laws or regulations that were popping up weekly that could cause me problems and cost me a lot of money and even the small things like employee breaks or no breaks were foreign to me.
After becoming a member of the F&BA I have been able to see a brighter side of our business. I have met a lot of successful restaurant owners who love the industry they are in and share their knowledge to help others succeed.
